Welcome to Traceless Chat. These Terms govern your use of our end-to-end encrypted messaging platform.
By accessing or using our service, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not use our service.
1. Service Description
Traceless Chat provides an end-to-end encrypted messaging platform. The service includes:
- End-to-end encrypted text messaging
- Encrypted voice and video calls
- Secure file sharing
- Group conversations with encryption
The service is designed with a zero-knowledge architecture, meaning we cannot access your message content.
2. User Responsibilities
Key Management
You are responsible for safeguarding your encryption keys. If you lose access to your keys, we cannot recover your messages.
You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and not to:
- Transmit illegal, harmful, or abusive content
- Attempt to compromise the service's security
- Interfere with other users' experience
- Use automated systems to access the service
3. Service Limitations
Encryption Architecture
Due to our zero-knowledge design, we cannot:
- Recover lost encryption keys
- Access or restore message content
- Decrypt messages for any purpose
Availability
We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.
4. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of the messages and files you send through our service. Due to our encryption architecture, we have no technical ability to access or claim ownership of your private content.
Our Platform
The Traceless Chat platform, including its software, design, and branding, is protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without authorization.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Traceless Chat shall not be liable for:
- Loss of messages due to key loss
- Service interruptions or availability issues
- Unauthorized access to your account if you fail to secure your credentials
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
6. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify users of significant changes through the service interface. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service provider is established. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
